My first novel is now available. It's the story of dying--and living--in a hospice. I wanted to bring together stories of learning, loving and legacy at the end of life and share the legal concepts everyone needs to know to maintain autonomy until the very end.
I've done that with the help of Margaret Williams, a recent widow who volunteers at her local hospice. As she comes to know the patients and their families, she also learns how to spend life without her husband of forty-two years and what it really means to have a good death--and a good life. There's even a bit of a mystery involved, a family that travels the centuries to tell its story and leave its lasting legacy.
